Verónica Boquete Giadans (born on 9 April 1987 in Santiago de Compostela, Spain) is a Spanish football player playing either as a midfielder or striker. In 2012 she will play for Tyresö FF in the Damallsvenskan. She came to international attention after signing for Philadelphia Independence in the WPS in 2011. Boquete was a key player in Independence's 2011 season with four match-winning goals, and she was awarded the Player of the Year Award. In addition, she was awarded the Player of the Week prize three times.
